Online (Cloud) Backup

Backblaze is an online backup company with whom you can pay a subscription fee to for them to continually backup your computer. The cost is very reasonable for the feeling and the knowledge that your date is being backed up all the time (automatically). I very much enjoyed the instructions they gave in case your computer is stolen (I suggest reading through and understanding these before you need them). If you delete or write over a file, you can restore it within 30 days. Backblaze suggest installing the restore down loader for mass amounts of restored data. They have two mirrored data sites, one in Sacramento and one in Oakland. Backblaze has been around for 7 years, and they have restored over 7 billion files. This company is trusted and used by Intel.

Update 11-16-14:

Today I purchased a one year subscription of Backblaze, when you “buy,” the product you have three options, you can pay monthly ($5 a month), yearly ($50 save $10), or two years at a time ($95 save $25).

Android App:

I have installed the android app about a week ago (my favorite feature is the search option). Under the account settings you can setp weekly or monthly email summaries. This feature is nice because [add once I receive one].

Restoring Files:

It has been made a sinch by Backblaze ny them allowing three different options for restoration:

  1. Download Zip File (Free) (Easy to download previous versions [weekly after a week?])
You will receive an email once your files are ready to restore.
Your files will be put into a zip format and available for download.
  2. USB Flash Drive ($99) up to 128 GB max (110,000 MB of data)
Your files will be sent on a USB Flash Drive.
(You will receive a drive large enough to contain your data.)
  3. USB Hard Drive ($189) up to 4 TB max (3,500,000 MB of data)
Your files will be sent on an external USB hard drive.
(You will receive a drive large enough to contain your data.)

[I need to ask them if these prices include the hardware?]
